Google Video, the video service that ended up moved to YouTube (2005–2012)

On April 13, 2005 Google opened the Google Video upload program, free and with no limit on length or size; on June 27, 2005 a post titled Google Video. Now with ... video! marked the stage when the service began showing videos. On January 14, 2009 Google announced that Google Video would stop accepting uploads within a few months. Videos already hosted would stay online, and the service would focus on searching videos hosted anywhere on the web; for publishing, users were pointed to YouTube or Picasa Web Albums. In July 2012 Google said the remaining videos would move to YouTube as private videos, and owners could migrate, delete or download content until August 20, 2012.

The official posts read by the museum have no image of Google Video itself.
