The four-color G gets a gradient (2025)

The G created in 2015 replaced its four flat color areas with brighter colors that blend in a gradient. According to Google, the change first appeared in the Search icon early in 2025, reached the Gemini spark in June and, on September 29, was announced as the icon for the whole company. The four colors were kept; the official explanation is to reflect AI-driven innovation.
